“Emergency” snacks for different situations

You sit at your place and suddenly hear a ring at the door-bell. You are a bit surprised as you don’t expect anybody. You open the door and you notice friends that apparently decided to pay you an unexpected visit. You haven’t seen your friends quite long so you are pleased they are here. But at the same time, you badly attempt to think of anything you can treat your guest with. You are sure you don’t possess all ingredients to cook something nice to eat right now.

And what is even more relevant – you don’t have much time as visitors are already here. ObviouslyDefinitely, they cannot expect you to be ready for an unexpected visit. On the contrary, it would be so much nicer to have something tasty to eat.

I am sure you have experienced this scene. I have had that situation many times before. And I decided to do something about that. However, there was always 1 significant problem about having “emergency” snacks – snack pellet – check it. I have two children so they always eat snacks shortly after I buy them. I was trying to hide them for a moment but all parents know how laughable it is and that children always manage to lay hands on snacks anyway. No matter where you put them. As a result, when unannounced visitors come, I still had nothing to offer to my visitors.

Last month my sister has come by. When we were drinking a coffee, I was trying to locate previously hidden snacks. At the beginning she laughed at me but after a while she came up with an excellent concept I hadn’t considered before. She explained snackpellet. Why was it so great for me? Because they are semi-finished products. I store it in the kitchen and I can be sure that it is still there when needed – when unannounced guests arrive. My teenagers don’t have it right after buying, as it was with other snacks previously. Why? If they want to eat snack pellet, they have to cook it first – read about snackpellet.

And my children just don’t cook if they musn’t. They are constanty eager to eat already prepared snacks, but if they must prepare them on their own – they are not so eager anymore. For me this is also superior – thanks to the fact that I have to prepare snack pellet before serving it to my guests, I can offer them not only fresh but also warm snack. What is even better, it requires just a few minutes to make it ready!
